The winger has wasted little time in finding a new home after leaving Victory, joining Brisbane Roar on a two-and-a-half year deal
Brisbane Roar have confirmed the signing of talented youngster Julius Davies.
Davies left rival A-League club Melbourne Victory earlier on Wednesday, with Roar snapping up the 18-year-old almost immediately.
The attacking midfielder put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal and will stay with the Roar until the end of the 2014-2015 A-League season.
Roar coach Mike Mulvey was delighted to acquire the services of Davies.
"He's an exciting young prospect, quick, creative and I'm sure the Brisbane Roar fans will enjoy seeing him play," Mulvey said.
"He can play in any of the wide positions but we'll see at training where he fits best within our system.
"He's someone I'm sure the other players will enjoy having around and one I think that can terrorise the opposition on the pitch."
Davies had been with the Victory since the start of 2012, but had only managed two appearances at the club.
The capture of Davies comes one day after the Roar signed Australia international Jade North.
Davies comes as a direct replacement for Rocky Visconte, who was released by the Roar on Tuesday and has now joined Western Sydney Wanderers.
The 22-year-old Australia Under-23 international has signed a short-term contract at the A-League's newest club, with coach Tony Popovic welcoming him to the club via statement.
"Rocky is a good young player and he is very hungry and ambitious and we are very pleased to have him to add to our attacking options in the squad," Popovic said of the winger.
"He has not had a lot of match time at the Roar and we will take the next week or so to work with him and see exactly where he is at."We are looking forward to having him with us and we will be working hard together to bring the best out of him."
