Impossible to go past the veteran forward. There are high hopes the former Liverpool, Aston Villa and England man will become the best marquee signing the club has ever made. Now 34, Heskey will be the central figure to the Jets' attacking plans.
|Improving all the time, had an impressive season between the sticks last season and could develop into a top-class goalkeeper. Will have to be on his game, however, with the signing of Australia youth representative Mark Birighitti.
Very shaky at the back last season, the Jets have recruited heavily in defence. Gary van Egmond will demand more consistency from his players this season after some promising results in their last campaign. Will the experience of Josh Mitchell shore up the Jets defence? But the real question is just what sort of impact Heskey will make at the club.
