thumbnail Hello,

With a new coach at the helm, expect a new-look Victory in season 2012-13. But can mastermind Ange Postecoglou mould the team back into a title contender? Indonesia   By KIERAN JONES

In: Adama Traore, Mark Milligan, Guilherme Finkler, Jonathan Bru, Marcos Flores, Sam Gallagher, Spase Dilevski, Theo Markelis.

Out: Harry Kewell, Fabio Alves, Matthew Kemp, Grant Brebner, Jean Carlos Solorzano, Rodrigo Vargas, Tom Pondeljak, Carlos Hernandez, Ante Covic, Ubay Luzardo.

STAR MAN: Marcos Flores ONE TO WATCH:  Tando Velaphi

With Carlos Hernandez out the door, Victory will be hoping Flores can pull the strings this season. The Argentine has proven himself in the league before with Adelaide and should make a big impact again.

The young goalkeeper only managed two games in an injury-riddled first year in Melbourne. He would hope to be able to make the position his own this season, but faces stiff opposition from Lawrence Thomas.

The Victory fans wanted change, and they definitely got it. Ange Postecoglou comes to Melbourne as the best coach in the A-League, with a proven record of bringing players together. Can he make it work between Thompson and Flores? Can he finally solidify the Victory's defense into a cohesive unit? Time will tell, but it will certainly be another intriguing season year for the blue and white.
