Australia women's team coach Hesterine de Reus has named her first squad, to meet in Canberra for a four-day training camp from Thursday.
Appointed in December to replace the departed Tom Sermanni and having arrived in Australia in January, de Reus has spent the ensuing time familiarising herself with her players through the W-League fixtures.
The Dutch national will now bring them together for the first time, summoning 31 players for the camp at the Australian Institute of Sport.
"It is good to have the bulk of players available and in the country to come into our first camp together," de Reus said via statement.
"The purpose of this training camp is to meet with the players, set-up the highlights of how we are going to work together and also discuss our short-term and long-term aims.
"Most importantly we can start on the field and work on our playing style."
Nine players will have reduced training loads at the camp, including Heather Garriock - absent from the Matildas since September 2011 after falling pregnant - and Ellyse Perry, fresh from her World Cup win with the Australia women's cricket team.
Also named in the squad is teenage starlet Caitlin Foord, whose move to United States National Women's Soccer League club Sky Blue FC was announced on Monday.
Winner of the best young player at the 2011 Fifa women's World Cup, the 18-year-old winger fielded offers from the likes of English club Liverpool and Linkopings FC in Sweden before settling for the New Jersey-based outfit.
She departs for the US on March 11 ahead of kick off for the 2013 season later that month.
"I was initially a little hesitant about heading overseas given I haven't had a break from football in the past two years," said Foord, who has spent the past two W-League seasons with Sydney FC.
"However with the support of my family, management, club and the FFA [Football Federation Australia], I realised this was a great opportunity to continue my football development as well as get a taste of a new life experience in another country.
"I have really enjoyed my time at Sydney FC and that includes being part of the clubs great success this season by helping them win the W-League.
"I have also been humbled by some of the recent offers I have received from Liverpool FC, Linkopings FC and Japanese club INAC Kobe FC, but believe that a move to Sky Blue is the best option for me at this point in time."
