The Spain international has attracted the interest of Andre Villas-Boas' side but his current club are determined to hold on to him
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas admitted earlier on Tuesday that the Premier League side are interested in signing the Spain international, but his current club are determined not to let go of the prolific striker on the cheap.
"I do not think that any team will trigger his [€30 million] buy-out clause. I expect him to stay at Valencia," Djukic told reporters.
"Everybody at the club wants him to stay.
"We have said right from the beginning that any interested teams will have to match his exit clause.
"The only way he can leave the club is if someone meets his clause and he decides to go. That's the danger. For now, he remains a Valencia player, though."
The 28-year-old has a contract with Valencia until June 2017.
