Ibrahimovic backs Milan's Balotelli swoop
The Rossoneri's former striker says that he is happy that the club have signed Manchester City's Italy international forward and speaks highly of his old team
Former AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is happy that his old club have signed Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli joined from Manchester City for around €23.4 million and Ibrahimovic, now at PSG, thinks he is a great signing.
The Sweden striker told Sky Sports 24: "Thiago Silva and I are happy that things are going well at Milan. I'm happy for Milan and for Balotelli. I can only say positive things about Milan, it is a great club."
Robinho also welcomed his new team mate to the Rossoneri and hopes that he can improve the side.
He told the Milan Channel: “We await Mario Balotelli with open arms. We hope he can have a great season here at Milan.”
The Brazil international was not the only Milan player welcoming the new arrival with Stephan El Shaarawy also tweeting his approval.
El Shaarawy wrote: “Welcome Mariooooo!!! I am so happy with his arrival!”
