Montpellier director Laurent Nicollin has claimed that Younes Belhanda is free to leave the club for Fenerbahce if he wants.
The 22-year-old has been closely linked with a switch to the Istanbul giants during the January transfer window, and although owner Louis Nicollin claimed he would not move to the Super Lig, his son has said they will not intervene.
"If the kid [Belhanda] wants to go to Fenerbahce, we will not stop him. As long as we are not paid over five-year installments! We are not being demanding," he told France Football.
Montpellier have seen Olivier Giroud and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa leave the club in recent months, and Nicollin says he is looking forward to the end of the transfer window.
"Now we hope the transfer window ends quickly. Not just for me - for everyone! The period is wearing, and I'm being polite."
