Barcelona attacker Pedro has warned his team-mates not to get carried away following Sunday's 4-0 win over Elche and thinks a tough few months lie ahead.
The Catalans returned to the top of La Liga, level on points with Atletico Madrid, following this weekend's victory, but Pedro has stressed that the season is still long.
"We have five tough months ahead, we need to be at our best level," the attacker was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"We need to take things one step at a time. Atletico Madrid are a difficult rival."
Pedro netted once in Sunday's win over Elche to take his tally for the season to 11 and he was pleased with Barca's performance at Camp Nou, while he hailed his understanding with Cesc Fabregas.
"We played a good match from the start. I’m happy that I’m scoring goals and that I’m helping the team.
"Cesc and I understand each other. He always looks for me and I try to break into space."
Barcelona are currently preparing for Wednesday's Copa del Rey match against Getafe, before travelling to Atletico Madrid at the weekend in La Liga.
