Blanc: PSG must score more

The former France boss is satisfied with the capital club's performances so far this term, but is a little frustrated by how many chances his players are squandering
Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc believes that his troops will have to be more clinical in front of goal if they are to have a successful season.

The French champions currently sit second in Ligue 1, level on points with leaders Monaco, while they top their Champions League section with two wins from as many games.

However, while Blanc is satisfied with how PSG's campaign is progressing, he still believes that there is room for improvement, particularly up front.

"With two draws to start with, you could say the opening to the league campaign was also complicated, but you got the feeling that the team was getting physically stronger, and that was confirmed by what happened afterwards," the World Cup winner told the official Ligue 1 website.

"Now we're not only winning our games, but also trying to play good football. And I like that, because it corresponds to how I perceive football.

"We still have to handle our good moments better, put away our chances more often. We can still score more goals, just as we did against Benfica [in the Champions League]."

PSG have netted 14 goals in nine Ligue 1 appearances so far this term.
