Claudio Ranieri says that Paris Saint-Germain are "more of a team" than Monaco - but maintains that his side will do everything to win the Ligue 1 title this season.
Les Rouge et Blanc have made an impressive return to the top flight, having been bolstered over the summer by a plethora of expensive players, including Colombia superstar Radamel Falcao.
However, even though Monaco are currently just a point behind leaders PSG with a game in hand, Ranieri is keen to point out that the reigning champions retain something of an edge given the Parisian project is much further advanced than that of the Principality.
"It's difficult for me to say that there is less quality at Monaco than at PSG," the 64-year-old told L'Equipe.
"But PSG are more a team than us. They have been together for two years. For us, it's all brand new.
"But I'm not complaining. I'm not saying they have an advantage. I want to win and that's what I hammer into my players."
Undefeated Monaco can reclaim top spot from PSG should they defeat Lorient at the Stade Louis II on Sunday.
