Veron hopes for injury solution to resume career

The former Serie A star is set to see a specialist about his troublesome right ankle injury with the intention of playing again
Retired midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron will travel to Italy in May to see a specialist in the hope of resuming his career.

The former Argentina international, who last played for amateur outfit Brandsen, will go to Europe to see if he can find a solution to his troublesome ankle injury.

Veron made his name in Serie A where he turned out for Sampdoria, Parma, Lazio and Inter.

After returning to his homeland in 2006, the Argentina legend seen out his career with Estudiantes, before his move to Brandsen.

Veron made 73 appearances for his national side during his career.
