Conte calls on players to 'spit blood' on the pitch
The Juventus coach has told his squad that they must always give their all on the pitch, and says that none of his charges complained of fatigue prior to the loss to Roma
Juventus coach Antonio Conte has told his players that they can never give any less than everything on the pitch after their 1-0 loss to Roma on Saturday.
The former Siena boss has revealed that none of his charges had complained of fatigue prior to the Stadio Olimpico trip, and La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that he intends to make them train at 08:00CET on Tuesday.
"I spoke clearly to the boys before the game against Roma," he told the Italian newspaper.
"I told them who you feel tired or rundown from the [Champions League] game, tell me right away, there will be no problems.
"I mean, I'm open to the team, and no one is turned away. On Saturday night, I was not told by anyone about any problems.
"If you tell the coach that you are ready, then you have to prove it on the field, spitting blood, regardless of how good performance you put in."
The Bianconeri's next clash is at home against Conte's former club, Siena, on Sunday.
