This year's tournament promises to be bigger and better with a total of seven participating countries and Fabio Cannavaro as the event ambassador

The Tiger Street Football tour is back and if you think the 2012 tournament was awesome, the 2013 edition promises to deliver a bigger bite.

Last year, supremely skilled football players from Vietnam, Argentina, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Brazil and Thailand battled it out in a cage to earn the right to be called Grand Champions.

Matches were played in a 'Street Football Cage' that measured about 30x12 meters and which was covered by a net suspended some two-and-a-half meters above the ground that guaranteed continuous play.

Who could forget how Brazil dominated the past two years' tournaments with their Samba-style soccer? Team Floripa demolished all challengers, including Malaysian finalists Equal FC, and bagged the US$30,000 prize after a victory in the epic grand finals in front of 8000 spectators who gathered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

How big is Tiger Street Football tour you may ask? Well let's just say the 2012 event was graced by former Juventus midfielder and Netherlands international Edgar Davids, who was the ambassador for the tour. He was pleased at the passion and attitude that Tiger - and football - fans had for the street soccer tour.

He was also glad that the tournament was a success and hoped it will inspire many in Asia to "pick up a ball, hit the streets and play football".

The 2013 tournament brings with it the signature caged arena to three more places around Asia, with games scheduled in Cambodia, Mongolia and Australia – each with their own set of top-bracket representatives.

They will then proceed to the grand final in Guangzhou, China, where they will compete against the winning teams from other countries of Asia for a chance to become Tiger Street Football Champion of 2013.

And yes, there will be more to the Tiger Street Football event then just football.

This year's event also includes a lively carnival featuring plenty of on and off pitch action, with a host of activities such as a skills showcase and exclusive autograph sessions with Tiger Street Football ambassador and football legend Fabio Cannavaro as well as the beautiful Tiger Cage Girls.

The teams that win the national tournament are awarded a cash prize of $3,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $500 for third.
