Destiny still in Napoli's hands, says Bigon
The Partenopei sporting director is confident that his side can still win the Scudetto, despite missing the chance to close the gap on Juventus to two points
Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon has insisted that his side can still win the Serie A title this season, despite stumbling to a goalless draw at home to Sampdoria on Sunday.Juventus' loss to Roma on Saturday presented the Partenopei the chance to narrow the gap at the top to just two points at San Paolo, but they were ultimately unable to overcome their opponents.
Coach Walter Mazzarri elected not to talk to the media in the wake of the stalemate, but Bigon remains confident of success.
"The coach is disappointed," he told reporters after the match.
"He also has a high temperature, so preferred not to talk to the media. [Our] destiny remains in our hands."
Napoli will be hoping to make amends when they travel to Udinese on February 25.
