'Klopp is a world-class coach' - Gundogan
The Germany international believes his boss is one of the best in the game, while revealing his desire to sign a new contract at Signal Iduna Park and stay at the club beyond 2015
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has praised his coach Jurgen Klopp, labelling him as world-class.Since his arrival at the club from Mainz in 2008, the 45-year-old has led his side to back-to-back Bundesliga titles and continued BVB's rise by reaching the knockout stages of this season's Champions League.
And Gundogan believes his boss does not need to fear a comparison with former Barcelona tactician Pep Guardiola, who will soon take charge at rivals Bayern Munich.
"We also have a world-class trainer," the 22-year-old told reporters.
"Not only that, we also have a well-attuned team, who often showed in direct comparison that they can give Bayern [Munich] a tough time."
Premier League sides Tottenham and Manchester United are both rumored to be interested in the Germany international, but while he is aware of interest from other clubs, he sees his future at Signal Iduna Park.
"I know that there have been enquiries. However, I was not interested in where they came from.
"There's no pressure to act right now. That doesn't change the fact that I can imagine staying at Dortmund well beyond 2015."
