Muntari desperate for Milan comeback
The former Inter player has been struggling with injury this season, but is raring to go again and says he is keen to prove his worth to the team
AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari is eagerly anticipating his comeback after spending the majority of the 2012-13 campaign so far on the sidelines because of injuries. The 28-year-old missed the opening months of the season due to a knee problem, and picked up calf and thigh injuries after resuming match action in December.
But the Ghana international is now raring to play again, and is determined to help Milan climb in the table.
"I cannot wait to come back. I have been out of action for a long time, just watching my team-mates and now it is time for me to join the first team again, to help out and do well," the Ghanaian midfielder told Milan Channel.
"I came back quickly from the knee injury but then had problems with my calf and thigh.
"I was a little angry with myself but I know my time will come and when it does hopefully I will keep my place and I really hope to help the team."
Muntari has made just two Serie A appearances this season.
