Ancelotti: Players must take responsibility
The Italian has criticised his side for failing to play as a team in their 2-1 defeat to Nice, and warned that he plans to ring the changes for forthcoming games
Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that his players must take their share of the responsibility for Paris Saint-Germain's poor run of form.Les Parisiens were beaten 2-1 by Nice on Saturday evening after a disjointed and ill-tempered performance during which Blaise Matuidi was sent off, and Ancelotti has slammed his team for failing to work collectively as they suffered their third defeat in five Ligue 1 matches.
"We lacked continuity, intensity and responsibility," he told reporters at a press conference. "It is not the coach who must take responsibility, but the players also.
"I feel that the players are not yet focused on what must be the project of the club. It is not normal to lose as often for a team like ours.
"We played too much individually and not enough as a team."
Ancelotti has warned his charges that he plans to uproot those who are not performing for their upcoming fixtures as they attempt to arrest their slide in domestic form.
"I'll make radical changes for the next matches," the Italian added.
