Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been in fine form domestically with 10 goals in 10 appearances for his club side, but it was his performance for his country that has won him Goal.com's World Player of the Week.

The Sweden international scored arguably one of the finest goals of all time with an outrageous, acrobatic, overhead lob from more than 20 yards. It was his fourth strike of the game, having broken the deadlock on 10 minutes. The player overtook Henrik Larsson in the national side's goalscoring record books and is now only 10 goals behind all-time top-goalscorer Sven Rydell. As Carlo Garganese on says: "Ibrahimovic is my World Player of the Week. One of the best goals ever against England in his four-goal haul #WPOTW"

Goal.com France Chief Editor Naim Beneddra commented: "Despite not playing this weekend for PSG due to suspension, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was still the talking point of the footballing world for last week.

"What he succeeded to do in Wednesday's friendly against England was incredible, but with Zlatan nothing is impossible. The Scandinavian dazzled spectators by scoring four goals, the last of which was shown all over the planet. At 31-years-old, it is now indisputable, Ibra is playing better than he ever has done."

Congratulations to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Goal.com's 183rd World Player of the Week

The Shortlist

Shane Long - West Brom

@ryandelarge: "Hard to disagree with Zlatan for #WPOTW but I'm going for Shane Long."

Goal.com's Peter Staunton: "Long must now be recognised as one of the best strikers in the Premier League."

D Zapata - Estudiantes

Goal.com's Rupert Fryer: "The Colombian proved his worth this week with three goals. The 21-year-old is arguably one of the bigger positives to come out of a disappointing season for the Argentine outfit."

S El Shaarawy - Italy & Milan

@BenJermainSese: "El Shaarawy. He's been great for both club & country."

Goal.com's Kris Voakes:"SES is arguably the most in-form Under-21 player in Europe. He is carrying Milan right now."

K Benzema - Real Madrid

@Banglanco: "No player has had a better week than Benzema. At heart of everything & scored."

Goal.com's Ben Hayward: "Benzema looks back to his best and proved he should start for Madrid ahead of Higuain."
