The Uruguayan forward has developed into one of the undisputed stars of Serie A in the past few seasons, and he's determined to make the next step in his development and get on par with the Primera Division stars.
"Messi and Ronaldo are two great champions. I am training hard every day to try and reach the same level as them," Cavani was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Uruguay international then went on to discuss the alleged interest of clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus and Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.
"It is always difficult to change clubs and move to another city. If a club really wanted to sign me, they should have made Napoli an offer they could not turn down. This simply did not happen.
"It does not affect me that Napoli value me at €60 million. These kinds of things are a matter between the club and my representatives.
"I am training and playing with the same intensity as if I were worth only 10 per cent of that fee."
Cavani has a contract with Napoli until the summer of 2017.
