Galatasaray's Ujfalusi out for 4-5 months
Czech captain facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a possible serious ligament injury, after being stretchered off in game versus a second string side
Turkish champions Galatasaray will be facing months without veteran defender Tomas Ujfalusi, after the player suffered a serious knock in a training match. The Czech international was rushed to hospital after being stretchered from the pitch amid fears that the player has suffered a rupture of his anterior cruciate ligaments in his left knee.
Following his transfer from Atletico Madrid in 2011, Ujfalusi helped Galatasaray to win last season's Super Lig title and in the process of doing so, his defence conceded the fewest goals over the course of the campaign.
Galatasaray next face Bursaspor, with the absence of the ever-present Ujfalusi sure to weaken the side.
