Javier Zanetti has underlined the importance of young players in Inter's squad, and believes the club has nothing to worry about in the long haul.
The Nerazzurri have already parted company with experienced heads such as Lucio and Diego Forlan this summer, while Julio Cesar also appears to be on his way out of the Giuseppe Meazza, and the Argentine defender feels it is now up to the team's starlets to step up.
"There are a lot of youngsters and those of us with more experience have to help them. They represent the future of this club – a great one at that," Zanetti stated at a press conference.
"It's an important season for everybody because there are so many changes. I'm confident."
The Inter captain then looked ahead to Thursday's Europa League qualifier against Hajduk Split, and stressed they'll be ready for the task at hand.
"We know that we will encounter a very energetic atmosphere tomorrow, but I believe there are many of us who are used to this kind of situation.
"The important thing is to try to play an intelligent match and make the most of our characteristics that we believe can help us play a great game."
Kick-off in Split is scheduled for 19:45UTC.
