Werder Bremen keen on signing Elia from Juventus
The former Hamburg attacker is desperate to leave the Serie A champions this summer, and could be on his way back to the Bundesliga
Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed that the German club are interested in signing Juventus winger Eljero Elia ahead of the 2012-13 campaign.The former Hamburg man has repeatedly been linked with a return to the Bundesliga in the past few weeks, and the Werder official has now admitted that they are indeed keen to lure Elia back to Germany.
"He is one of the players we are interested in, and we're looking into the possibility of signing him," Allofs stated to reporters.
The 25-year-old Netherlands international joined Juve in the summer of 2011, but has failed to make an impact at the Old Lady.
