The Tottenham midfielder believes that the Allianz Arena is the right place for the Dutch winger, who was jeered by his own fans during a recent friendly game
Robben missed an extra-time penalty during Bayern's Champions League final loss to Chelsea, and was the subject of the ire of his own fans during a friendly match between Jupp Heynckes' side and Netherlands on Tuesday.
Following the incident, Netherlands captain Mark van Bommel stated that he would be thinking of leaving the Allianz Arena if he were Robben, while Wesley Sneijder also slammed Bayern and their fans. However, Van der Vaart feels that the former Chelsea man should stay put.
"Robben will play for Bayern next season. It's the right club for Arjen," he said according to Bild. "Robben is a super-professional, despite the jeers in the stadium, he adapted well for the real fans.
"After a strong Euro, all the uncertainty around him will be forgotten!"
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the club's CEO, has apologised to Robben on behalf of the Bayern supporters.
