Fernando Llorente has stated that Athletic Bilbao are determined to put the pain of losing the Europa League final behind them, and will have no fear when they face Barcelona in the crowning game of this season's Copa del Rey.
Atletico Madrid put Marcelo Bielsa’s men to the sword 3-0 in the European finale in Bucharest in midweek, but the Spain international is eager to learn from the mistakes his side made.
"There was a lot of pressure in the game, but Atletico dealt with this," Llorente admitted to Sport.
"The problem was that they started strong and got an early goal. We had chances to draw level, but at 2-0 our hearts sank and they were fair winners.
"We hope to draw all possible conclusions from this game and learn from our mistakes," he stated.
Barcelona will go into the domestic final as favourites, but Llorente has pledged not to show the Camp Nou side too much respect.
"The defeat against Atletico means we will come out without any fear. In this case we will play against a better team, but the best team do not always win.
"We must be optimistic, and believe there is nothing to lose and give everything, because if we play at 100 per cent we have a chance," he concluded.
