Seven European football clubs make up the top 10 highest-paying global sports teams with Barcelona and Real Madrid leading the way, according to a study by Sporting Intelligence for ESPN.
Despite Los Blancos being on the verge of winning La Liga, it is their Catalan rivals who pay the biggest wages, with the average weekly pay packet €126,236 at Camp Nou compared to Madrid's €113,364.
The study also listed seven European football sides in the top 10, two more than last year, with three American sports clubs making up the list.
Just behind Barca and Madrid are English pair, Manchester City and Chelsea who are third and fourth respectively.
The other football teams to make up the top 10 are AC Milan (seventh), Bayern Munich (eighth) and Inter (tenth).
