thumbnail Hello,

The former Barcelona B team boss has pointed out that with his side chasing a place in next season's Champions League, they need the three points just as badly as their hosts

Roma coach Luis Enrique insists that his troops will be going all out for victory in Sunday night's crucial Serie A clash with Juventus, explaining that he would rather "risk everything" than go looking for a draw.

The Giallorossi are currently sixth in the standings but they can climb to fourth and keep up the pressure on third-placed Lazio if they triumph in Turin.

As a result, Luis Enrique insists that while he has the utmost respect for table-topping Juventus, he will be sending his side out to attack the undefeated Bianconeri.

“I’d never settle for a draw before a game," the Spaniard told reporters on the eve of the game. "I prefer to risk everything to win.

"There’s a clear difference as far as the league table’s concerned, but in a one-off game I believe it’s an open encounter.”

Luis Enrique argued that Roma will be just as fired up for the game as their hosts, who are currently locked in an intriguing battle with AC Milan for this season's Scudetto.

“We’re playing to gain a place in Europe - a considerable motivation in itself," the former Barcelona B team boss pointed out. "We could also be the first team to beat them, and do so on their own soil.

"But, of course, you can’t make mistakes against Juventus; any errors will be punished.”

Roma's eagerly-awaited meeting with the Old Lady kicks off at 20.45CET.
