The Uruguayan striker says that he has not been able to perform to the best of his abilities at San Siro but insists that he is not thinking about leaving the clubDiego Forlan has declared that he has not yet been able to show his true colours at Inter.
The Uruguay international, who joined the Nerazzurri last summer, has struggled for fitness and form at San Siro, netting just two goals in 19 appearances for the club.
"People have not seen the real Forlan since I arrived at Inter," Forlan told Sky Sport Italia.
"I am eager to do better, even more so than the fans. I am very happy at this club, I like the city of Milan and the fans have been really nice to me.
"This has been a tough season, because of my injuries and what the club are currently going through."
Forlan's disappointing form has seen him linked with a new challenge in the summer, but the former Atletico Madrid ace has guaranteed that he plans to prove his worth at the club.
"I would not like to leave Inter like this, I like the challenge," he noted.
"I have always wanted to come to Inter and now that I have that opportunity I do not want to leave when the team is not in a good situation.
"I want to stay here and do well."
Inter, who sit seventh in the Serie A table, take on Udinese in their domestic match-up this weekend.
