thumbnail Hello,

The former Netherlands international has voiced his opinion that the Russia boss would be a good replacement for him

PSV caretaker boss Phillip Cocu has voiced his opinion that Dick Advocaat would be the ideal new coach for the Eredivisie giants.

Cocu replaced Fred Rutten as the Eindhoven side's boss earlier this month after the latter got the sack, but the former Barcelona midfielder will make way for a permanent trainer at the end of the 2011-12 campaign.

Russia coach Advocaat is allegedly sitting in pole position to take over at the Philips Stadium, and Cocu believes the 64-year-old would be the right man for the job.

"Advocaat would be great as the new coach. I worked under him as a player at PSV and the national side. He is an excellent coach with a drive to be successful and with a lot of experience. Additionally, he knows the club really well," Cocu was quoted as saying by Voetbal International.

Advocaat previously coached PSV from 1995 until 1998, when he won one Eredivisie title and one KNVB Beker.
