The former national team captain and defender believes that the Super Eagles’ class will do well in June when they host the Wasps in Abuja
After a less than impressive 0-0 draw in Kigali on Wednesday, former national team defender Yisa Sofoluwe is assuring Nigerian football fans that the second leg will be much easier.
“Though I did not watch the match, the reports were that the Eagles played well enough to have won and that is a positive,” Sofoluwe told Goal.com.
“We all know that no team is easy at home again in the world but I also believe that our players are much better than the Rwandan players and that will make us win when they come to Nigeria for the second leg.”
And though, NFF President Aminu Maigari had told the players not to under-rate the Rwandan team because they have a good side, Sofoluwe said Nigeria’s character will show through in the second leg.
“It has been a long time since anyone beat us at home and I do not think it is Rwanda that will come and beat us though I am not under-rating them, but I think we are better than them,” Sofoluwe added.
