The Argentina international has excelled since arriving at the Stadio Olimpico on loan from Real Madrid last summer and is now set for a bumper new contract with the GiallorossiFernando Gago will reportedly sign a four-year contract with Roma at the end of the season.
The Giallorossi took the Argentina international on loan from Real Madrid at the start of the current campaign with a view to signing the midfielder for a reported fee of just over €6 million this summer.
All that was missing was the agreement of the player but, according to Calciomercato.com, Gago is now expected to commit himself to Roma until 2016 as part of a deal which will at least treble his current salary of €1.1m.
Gago has made 18 appearances for the capital club this season and has played a key role in the Giallorossi's resurgence under new coach Luis Enrique.
