Adelaide United welcome visitors Newcastle Jets to the Hindmarsh Stadium on Friday, with both sides enduring contrasting fortunes.
Adelaide finally claimed an away win last Monday thanks to a Dario Vidosic penalty and a cracking team effort rounded off by Iain Ramsay in a 2-0 result against Melbourne Heart.
The victory has enabled Adelaide to dream about securing a home elimination final in the first weekend in April, with only fifth-placed Sydney FC capable of usurping the fourth-placed Reds.
Michael Valkanis' charges have all but secured a top-six finish and will be hoping to maintain the momentum ahead of the play-offs.
The Newcastle Jets come into this fixture on the back of a morale-sapping 2-1 defeat to Perth Glory last Friday and lie in sixth place.
However, Hindmarsh Stadium has not been a happy hunting ground for them in recent times, as the Hunter Valley-based outfit are winless in four matches.
Jets coach Gary van Egmond will be relying on the skill and craft of mid-season signing Zenon Caravella as he bids to claim all three points against the Reds.
Caravella, who is set to start after missing the past two matches with a hamstring problem, was raided from Adelaide and his inside knowledge of his former employers will be a highly sought after asset for van Egmond.
The Jets will be further reinforced by the return of Taylor Regan from suspension, although former England striker Emile Heskey continues to be sidelined with a calf injury.
Knee injury victims Ben Kantarovski and Sam Gallaway will sit out this encounter.
Adelaide will be counting on the goal-scoring prowess of Argentine attacker Jeronimo Neumann in their clash against the Jets.
Neumann has netted seven goals for Adelaide this campaign and all of his goals have come at Hindmarsh Stadium.
The Jets' defence will be wary of Neumann's pace and unpredictability as well as his ability to link up with chief playmakers Vidosic and Marcelo Carrusca.
The Reds will be bolstered by the return of forward Bruce Djite from injury but defensive utility Osama Malik is sidelined with an ankle injury.
