The fourth-placed Glory led high-flying Adelaide United at the interval last Sunday after a Billy Mehmet goal, but had to share the points after Dario Vidosic levelled shortly after the resumption.
The Wanderers - seventh on the A-League table - were unlucky not to at least gain a point from their 2-1 loss to the Jets at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday.
Riding high on confidence after consecutive victories, Tony Popovic's men led early but conceded two goals before the break and were unable to find an equaliser despite dominating the remainder of the game.
Neither side has taken a backward step this season, meaning Sunday's clash promises to be a willing affair.
Last seasons's runners-up will be looking to intimidate the new kids on the block in front of their parochial home fans and will be unhappy with anything other than three points.
Ian Ferguson's men kept two clean sheets in their first three games but have conceded in each of their past three outings. An improved defensive performance will go a long way to getting the win considering their potent forward line, but they are again without inspirational captain Jacob Burns.
The tenacious midfielder is still one or two matches away from returning from a quad strain, while Ferguson may again elect to keep key striker Shane Smeltz on the bench after Mehmet's goal against Adelaide.
How the Wanderers respond from Week 6's disappointing loss to the Jets will go a long way to deciding how the rest of their season pans out.
Popovic lamented his side's inability to take their chances against the Jets and, if they do the same against the Glory, it could prove a long trip back to Sydney.
But they at least have their marquee man in form, with Japanese veteran Shinji Ono impressing in his best performance for his new club against the Jets.
The Wanderers must do without Croatian midfielder Mateo Poljak through injury, meaning Jason Trifiro could get his first start for the club.
