Rodrigo Digão bids Al-Hilal fans and players farewell

The Brazilian center back Rodrigo Digão said his goodbyes after he concluded a deal to move to UAE side Al-Sharjah

Rodrigo Digão, Al-Hilal departing defender, affirmed that he will not be forgetting the days that he spent with Al-Hilal and took the chance to thank Al-Hilal fans who he said have treated him very well during his spell with the Saudi powerhouse.

Digão concluded a transfer to UAE side Al-Sharjah and send his former club and fans a farewell letter: “I will never forget Al-Hilal, it was a very important stop in my career and here I am, packing my bags to leave the club after two years and a half, I must express my feelings of gratitude towards the club.”

The 28 year old Brazilian defender added: “I will never forget those who helped me and made me feel at home during my stay in Saudi Arabia. I will never forget how we fought together to overcome adversity and the sad moments when we go back home with a loss on our backs, the club will stay with me throughout my career.”

Digão concluded: “I must thank coach Sami Al-Jaber who had faith in me and trusted my capabilities and gave me a chance to play for the club, as well as coach Giorgis Donis, the club’s officials and technical staff, and the players. I was very happy playing for Al-Hilal.”
