AFC deny Iraq's demand to play Saudi Arabia in Iran

Iraq want to host their World Cup qualifiers in Iran, but AFC partly agreed
Iraq Football Association announced their request to use Iran to host their World Cup qualifiers was accepted, but with one exception.

The AFC agreed to make Iran a host for Iraq's games except the one against Saudi Arabia.

"AFC allowed us to host our World Cup qualifiers in Iran except the Saudi Arabia game," said Kamel Zughaier, IFA spokesman said.

He added: "We will choose a neutral place to face Saudi Arabia, and they have to choose a place for the other match as well; otherwise, we will not play in Saudi Arabia."
