I-League: Manuel Retamero returns to India as head coach of NEROCA FC

After parting ways with Gift Raikhan, NEROCA have signed Manuel Retamero Fraile as their head coach for the upcoming I-League season.

The 45-year old Spanish coach is a known face in the Indian domestic circuit as he has previoulsy managed Aizawl FC. But after a disappointing outing with the People's Club, the Spaniard left for newer pastures.

He started his coaching days in Betis CF back in 2001 and has been at the helm of various clubs all over the world. His last stint was with Ulaanbaatar City FC of Mongolia where he guided his team to second position in the domestic league.

He has also served as the technical Director in Al-Ittihad and Bahrain Football Association. As a player he has represented various Spanish sides like Real Vallaloid , Villa de Simancas and Betis CF.

It remains to be seen whether Retamero can mend his disastrous record in Indian football with the Orange Brigade and guide the Manipuri outfit to silverware in the next edition of I-league.
