There were a number of changes from the Selecao's World Cup squad, with the five-time champions set to return to Brasil Global Tour action next month

Manchester United's Andreas Pereira and Barcelona midfielder Arthur were named among a number of new faces in coach Tite's Brazil squad on Friday,

Gabriel Jesus, Marcelo and Miranda were all missing from the group. Danilo, Fernandinho, Paulinho, Cassio and Pedro Geromel were the other members of the Selecao's World Cup squad to miss out.

Ederson was also left out, however, CBF technical coordinator Edu confirmed the Manchester City goalkeeper was omitted due to a personal issue.

The five-time world champions return to Brasil Global Tour action in September with tests against USA in New Jersey and El Salvador in Landover, in what will be their first matches since the 2018 World Cup.

Cruzeiro defender Dede defender, Porto stopper Felipe, Gremio forward Everton and Fluminense striker Pedro all received their first call-ups under Tite.

Liverpool's Fabinho was named among the full-backs and Flamengo star Lucas Paqueta was included in the group of midfeidlers.

Edu announced that Tite and his staff had split the next four-and-a-half years into three phases; the short, medium and long term.

The first phase begins now and runs until the end of December, during which there are six Brasil Global Tour friendlies.

The next phase then takes Brazil through to Copa America in June 2019, before the long-term kicks off post-Copa as Brazil look to qualify and prepare for World Cup 2022.

Brazil meet USA at MetLife Stadium on September 7 before hosting El Salvador at FedExField on September 11.
