The Selecao welcomed back their captain following his Champions League heroics with Barcelona on Saturday

The Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour was all smiles on Tuesday as captain Neymar joined the rest of the Brazil squad in Porto Alegre, after his Champions League heroics for Barcelona delayed his arrival.

The 23-year-old made history on Saturday as he helped his Catalan club to a historic treble, but his appearance meant that he missed his country’s 2-0 victory over Mexico on Sunday in Sao Paulo.

The squad were visibly delighted at their skipper’s return ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Honduras in Porto Alegre, which will Brazil’s final friendly before they depart for this month’s Copa America in Chile.

The former Santos star hit his side's final goal in their 3-1 victory over Juventus in Berlin, becoming the first player to score in both legs of the Champions League quarter-finals, both legs of the semi-finals, and the final itself.

After enjoying the celebrations back in Spain, he then jetted off for Brazil to meet up with his international colleagues.

Coach Dunga was delighted with his side's performance in the absence of his captain, but was certainly pleased to welcome him back.

Upon his arrival, Neymar shared a joke with his old friend Filipe Luis.

He then took time to catch up with an old friend in former Santos team-mate Felipe Anderson.

He then posed for a photo with a few more familiar faces.

He then reunited with old friend in Everton Ribeiro, who had been absent from the last two Brazil squads.

Danilo and Casemiro then welcomed their captain back into the fold.
