The Honduras coach says his side cannot afford to only concentrate their efforts solely on the threat offered by the Barcelona starHonduras coach Luiz Suarez has warned his players that there is a lot more to Brazil than just Neymar.
The Central Americans meet Luiz Felips Scolari’s side as part of the Gillette International Soccer Series on Saturday evening at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami on Saturday.
And speaking after leading his team’s training session in the pouring Florida rain on Friday, the 53-year-old warned his players they cannot afford to concentrate solely on the Barcelona forward.
“If I devote everything to worrying only about Neymar, I would be totally wrong,” he told a press conference.
“Neymar is a great player, there's no way to deny that, but there are a lot of top-class players all around him. Brazil are much more than just Neymar.”
The Central Americans qualified for next year’s World Cup after beating Mexico to third place in Concacaf’s qualifying hexagonal and Suarez went on to insist that Saturday’s result is secondary to the overall performance of his side.
"For me, the results in these preparation games are secondary. The important thing is to play well."
“Friendlies are not the same as a World Cup, but Brazil provide that sort of atmosphere. This friendly will tell you which players are made for these types of games.”
